The Tesselaar Tulip Festival is open daily 10am - 5pm from the 11th September until the 8th October.
Everyday throughout the festival you can:
| Enjoy lively musical entertainment. Enjoy a selection of light lunches and some dutch treats. The food range includes Dutch Poffertjes and Croquettes, Victorian Baked potatoes and a Caffeteria serving a range sandwitches, rolls, pies, sausage-rolls, sweets, cakes, Tea, Coffee, Soft drinks, beer and wine. (During the weekends and 'special' event days there are additional food vendors - see 'special' events links below for details.) And most of all ... tip toe through fields of Tulips. |
Purchase Souvenirs, Fresh cut flowers or even pick your own tulips. Browse and purchase from the plant stalls. Admire our replica Dutch Windmills. Go for a Horse and carriage ride through the fields of tulips (small fee applies). Walk through and admire our Garden Displays |

Pink Lady Day – October 2. In conjunction with Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA). A day for raising awareness and money for BCNA, the peak national organisation for Australians personally affected by breast cancer. Twentyfive per cent of entry proceeds of Pink Lady Day are donated to BCNA. The fields of tulips are punctuated with Pink Lady cut outs …
Irish Weekend – October 4-5. Celebrating the greening of the tulip - though there is still a lot of colour in the blooms - they will be farmed in a couple of days and so green. Irish music, dancing and of course Guinness
Senior’s Days – Each Friday. Free tea or coffee for Seniors. Live entertainment playing all the "old favourites".
Sculpture in the Tulips - Every day. Renowned sculptors from across Victoria exhibit their works amongst the colourful beds of the tulips. You too can get involved and vote for your favourite is the People’s Choice Award. The sculpture that wins the Tesselaar's Choice Award becomes a permanent feature at Tesselaar Gardens and can be visited year after year.
