Throughout your day at the Tesselaar Tulip Festival there are many things you can experience:

Tip toe through the tulip fields.

This is a must for any visitor to the festival! Make sure you dont forget your camera so you can capture the moment

Delicious poffertjes

Enjoy a selection of delicious light lunches and tasty dutch treats

The range of food includes Dutch Poffertjes (pictured), Beef Croquettes, Baked potatoes and a Caffeteria serving a range of sandwitches, pies, cakes, tea, coffee, softdrinks and wines.

Special Events throughout the festival:

Turkish Weekend September 19-20. Turkey hosted the world’s first Tulip Festival more than 400 years ago. Today the Tesselaar Tulip Festival’s Turkish Weekend is a showcase of Turkish culture.

Dutch Weekend September 26-27. Grab your clogs and get down to the Tesselaar Tulip Festival this weekend to see it transform into a mini-Holland!

Food Wine & Jazz Weekend October 3-4. A fusion of Groove, Gastronomy and Grapes in the Garden! Combining life’s finer pleasures.

Irish Weekend October 10-11. ‘There is no day so dull or dismal that it is not an occasion for rejoicing. Eat, drink, laugh and be Irish’ (Old Irish wisdom - Anon).

Sculpture in the Tulips Everyday. Renowned sculptors from across Victoria will exhibit their works between the colourful beds of the tulips.

Children’s Days September 23-24 & 30. Days filled with FUN! Treat the kids to a day of adventure amongst the brilliant colour of the tulips. The best bit? Kids are free!

Pink Lady Day October 8. Raising awareness and money for Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA).

Senior’s Days Each Friday. Each Friday Seniors can enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee with our compliments. We have specially selected entertainment for you to enjoy amidst the wonder of the tulips.

Artist in Residence Everyday. The Emerald Arts Society has been invited to be ‘Artists in Residence’ by Tesselaar for the duration of the festival (weather permitting). As part of this presence the Society will hold  four Plein-Air Workshop classes in watercolour, oils, acrylics and pastels. Workshops will be held each tuesday during the Festival. Cost – $50 (including GST) per Workshop. All proceeds are donated to the Breast Cancer Network Australia Pink Lady Appeal. Bookings are essential, as places are limited.
