Rock the Fields

Guys and Girls, Cats and Kittens, it is time to get funky in the flower fields!

Put on your dancing shoes and enjoy some rocking tunes in the blooms this weekend. We have live music from the 50’s and 60’s to cut a rug to, funky food trucks, dancing demonstrations and fashions in the fields - spot prizes given to the best beauties and beaus.

The Atomic Hi-Tones Rock and Roll, Rockabilly band from Melbourne will have you up and jiving (on the Holland Stage 10:15-11, 12-12:45, 2-2:45, 3:15-4). Honey B and the Stingers will have you in Jukebox heaven listening to the sounds of this authentic 50s and 60s rock'n'roll band (on the Amsterdam Stage 10:30-11:15, 12:15-1, 1:45-2:30, 3:15-4). The Treblettes perform at 1pm. Local dance school Shine Dancing will show us how it is done with a rock'n dance demonstration at 11:15 each day.

While you are there, you can discover more than a million spring flowering bulbs on show, including over half a million Tulips. As you stroll through the historic gardens you can enjoy the sculpture exhibit, indulge in traditional Dutch foods and other treats. Visit our Clog Shop, see the world’s largest Clog, find treasures in the souvenir and market stalls. Visit the Tulip Fairy and hear her tales in Fairy Hollow. Have your face painted by the sensational Elenavation team. See beautiful garden displays, visit our fairy garden, pick a bunch of tulips, play some old fashioned Dutch games and see historical displays. There are plenty of photo opportunities abound with Dutch frescos, Windmills, flowers and staff in traditional Dutch costumes.
